History
The organization of the consumer administration changed the 1st of June 1990. National Consumer Research Centre, Consumer Agency and National Food Agency Finland opened then their operations under the Ministry of Trade and Industry. The organization of the consumer administration was arranged again the 1 st of March 2001. The new Consumer Agency also including the Consumer Ombudsman was established. The National Food Agency Finland was transferred to the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
National Consumer Research Centre has a board of directors which is directing and supervising the activities. The board is appointed by the Ministry of Trade and Industry. The Research Centre has the premises in the city of Helsinki.
